Collection to Offer Award-Winning and Acclaimed Episodes Available for Purchase

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - October 20, 2010) -  Select programming from the PBS Emmy® Award-winning weekly documentary series "Independent Lens" will be available for purchase on iTunes beginning October 19. Curated specifically for iTunes, the collection will offer a unique and diverse group of documentaries taking viewers from across the street to around the globe, with up close and personal stories featuring unforgettable people. Each film will be available for download at ( -- to own for $9.99 and to rent for $2.99 after their broadcast premiere on PBS.

"The Parking Lot Movie," directed by Meghan Eckman, will be the first film available from the 2010 Fall season of Independent Lens for purchase.
