Independent Research Firm Names ENXSUITE a Key Vendor to Watch

ENXSUITE Recognized in the Enterprise Carbon and Energy Management Software Market

SAN BRUNO, CALIFORNIA--(Marketwire - March 2, 2011) - Today, ENXSUITE announces it was chosen as one of the key vendors to watch in the Enterprise Carbon and Energy Management (ECEM) sector by research firm Forrester Research Inc. ENXSUITE was included in a select group of 11 vendors in Forrester's December 2010 report, 'The Evolution of Enterprise Carbon and Energy Management Software', which profiled 32 ECEM vendors in all.

Forrester foresees the global ECEM software market soon entering a period of 'hypergrowth', and could grow as large as $903 million by 2013.

ENXSUITE, creator of the first and most extensive energy performance management platform, has also witnessed this trend in the increased demand it has fielded from the financial services, retail, government and manufacturing sectors, among others.

Of particular note is Forrester's prediction that it sees "'sustainabilization' arising as the fourth driver for economic innovation and growth, building upon the previous waves: industrialization (shift from agricultural to industrial economy), globalization (globally distributed value chains), and digitalization (shift from an industrial to an information economy through the advent of ICT)." Forrester Research, "The Evolution of Enterprise Carbon and Energy Management Software".

As a company directly assisting in the planning and execution of corporate sustainability programs, ENXSUITE is positioned to play a critical role in this evolution.

"We feel it is an honor to be recognized for our accomplishments by a firm with the reputation of Forrester Research," said Beatriz Infante, CEO of ENXSUITE. "We agree the ECEM market is expanding rapidly as more and more businesses look to leverage software solutions to manage their energy efficiency efforts. We look forward to capitalizing on this opportunity by continuing to help organizations link their energy efficiency programs with key financial and performance metrics."

Forrester's report looked at the growing market for solutions that manage and monitor corporate energy usage and its associated costs. Forrester segmented the market into three layers: ECEM software, for business-level sustainability programs; operational carbon and energy management (OCEM) software, which is primarily aimed at facility managers; and ICT carbon and energy management (ICTCEM) software, which helps IT managers address the costs of operating power-hungry data centers and other technology assets. ENXSUITE was listed as a key vendor to watch in the ECEM software segment.
