Independent Research Firm Names NetPro a Leader in Active Directory Management Solutions

NetPro Achieves Top Overall Marks for Reporting and Auditing, Availability Monitoring and Administration and Management

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - December 7, 2007) - NetPro Computing, Inc., a leading provider of distributed services management software, today announced that it was named a leader in the recently published market assessment The Forrester Wave™: Active Directory Management Solutions, Q4 2007 (December 9, 2007). Complimentary copies of the report are available for download by visiting

NetPro was among three companies that Forrester Research invited to participate in the analysis, with each company being evaluated on the basis of its Current Offering, Strategy and Market Presence. Forrester evaluated leading Active Directory management solution vendors across 82 criteria and found that NetPro is one of only two leaders in the space, offering best-in-class products and a unique unified architecture.

According to Forrester, "NetPro has rounded out its solutions portfolio to become a Leader in the space." Further, the research firm says, "NetPro's reporting and auditing products and features rank the highest in the group... NetPro has moved from being a point solution vendor with specialties in Active Directory change management, configuration and auditing to a well-rounded, Microsoft-focused solution provider." NetPro also received the top scores in availability monitoring and administration and management, and gives NetPro top marks for its strategy and architecture.

As Forrester notes in its Forrester Wave, "NetPro is close to completing its transition to a service-oriented architecture. The result of this effort is a well-integrated set of products with common agents and services -- an approach that can drive down deployment costs and administrator learning curves while increasing cross-product integration... NetPro is expanding its focus beyond Active Directory and creating solutions that help customers manage and monitor other Microsoft solutions like SharePoint."

"Forrester Research is one of the most respected independent research firms in the world. The analysts use exhaustive criteria to evaluate not only the solution category and the critical needs of the marketplace, but also the vendors who play there. We are honored to be named a Leader in this important analysis," said Kevin Hickey, President and CEO of NetPro. "Clearly, our investments in research and development and technology architecture and integration are paying off. And, we are confident that they will continue to build value for our customers as we leverage our foundation for faster, better integrated, and more robust management offerings for SharePoint and Exchange, as well as SQL and IIS." NetPro will introduce its first solutions for Exchange administration management later this month.
