Indian Motorcycle Recaps a Night of Stars Under the Stars at Historic VIP Reveal of All-New 2015 Indian Scout

Hollywood Celebrities, VIPs and Journalists From Around the World Gathered to Witness History With the Rebirth of Motorcycling's Best Handling Mid-Sized Cruiser

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwired - Aug 7, 2014) - Indian Motorcycle®, America's first motorcycle company, today proudly recaps the highlights of its star-studded VIP party in Sturgis, SD last Saturday evening, August 2, at the 74th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The event was centered on the historic unveiling of the new 2015 Indian® Scout®, the first truly new Indian Scout to be introduced in more than 70 years. Scout is widely recognized as one of the most innovative, nimble, versatile and perfectly balanced motorcycles of all-time, and the stars were aligned as celebrities, VIPs and journalists from around the world gathered to witness its historic relaunch. Starting at $10,999, the new Scout is destined to appeal to riders of virtually every size and experience level who desire the perfect balance of style, maneuverability, power and price.

Mike Wolfe, die-hard Indian Motorcycle enthusiast and host of "American Pickers" on HISTORY emceed the evening's festivities. One of his first duties of the evening was the introduction of superstar guest Mark Wahlberg, a long-time fan of the Indian Motorcycle brand. Wahlberg, one of Hollywood's leading actors and producers, talked with Wolfe about his passion for the brand before the shoulder-to-shoulder crowd.

Other Hollywood celebrities in attendance for the historic reveal included Kristy Swanson, star of the 1992 film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Alonzo Bodden, American comedian and winner of the third season of the reality-television series Last Comic Standing. Also on-hand all the way from New Zealand was John Munro, son for motorcycling legend Burt Munro, who was famously portrayed in the biographical movie "The World's Fastest Indian" in which Burt Munro piloted a modified 1920 Indian Scout to history by setting the land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

The celebration and unveiling included remarks and comments from Polaris Industries CEO Scott Wine and VP of Motorcycles for Polaris Industries Steve Menneto.

The evening was capped by a spectacular stunt show by the American Motordrome Company, featuring death-defying riding feats performed on a series of vintage motorcycles, including early Indian Scout models, on an authentic Wall of Death. The crowd was treated to the inaugural run of a customized version of the new 2015 Indian Scout on the Wall of Death, showing the superior balance and maneuverability of Indian Motorcycle's newest bike. The American Motordrome Company continues its shows in the Indian Motorcycle display space on Lazelle St. during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally until Saturday, August 9.
