Individual Tickets On Sale Monday For CIS FINAL 8 Men's Basketball Championship, presented by Milk

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 1, 2008) - In conjunction with Canadian Interuniversity Sport and Scotiabank Place, the host organizing committee for the 2008 Canadian Interuniversity Sport men's basketball championship - the FINAL 8, presented by Milk, today announced that individual tickets go on sale on Monday, March 3, at 10 a.m.

All individual game tickets will be sold as part of two-game sessions, which commence with quarterfinal games on Friday, March 14, at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. With games scheduled for 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., the Friday evening session will feature the five-time defending national champion Carleton University Ravens playing their first game of the tournament in the nightcap.

Friday's games are single elimination matchups with the four winners advancing to Saturday evening's semi-final session games at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The consolation semi-final session takes place earlier on Saturday with games at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The lone Sunday session features the consolation final game at 12:30 p.m. and the championship game at 3:30 p.m. All five sessions (10 games in total) will take place at Ottawa's Scotiabank Place.

Single session tickets, which includes entry to both of the session's games start at $10 per ticket. Full tournament packages (which includes a ticket to each of the 10 tournament games) are currently on sale and available starting at $60 per package.

The CIS FINAL 8 brackets including first-round match-ups will be released Sunday, March 9.
