InDorse Technologies' SPIDR for Microsoft SharePoint Receives Strong Welcome From Global Reseller Community

Added Security Controls and Compliance Policies Present Strong Value-Add

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - October 19, 2009) -  InDorse Technologies today announced it has received strong global interest from the reseller community for its award-winning InDorse SPIDR™ for Microsoft SharePoint users. Resellers are excited about SPIDR's ability to quickly introduce a new value-added service to clients -- bringing better information management, control of SharePoint deployments and assisting file migrations. SPIDR helps prevent information sprawl that increases risk from unstructured information, by embedding the appropriate security policies into all files, protecting digital assets and enforcing PCI, GLBA, HIPAA, and other compliance mandates.

Recently selected by Network World magazine for its prestigious 11 Security Companies to Watch for 2009 and named Best Product for Content Filtering by Network Products Guide, the industry's leading publication on information technologies and solutions, SPIDR has now garnered the attention of global resellers.

"As the United Kingdom's Number 1 SharePoint Partner, ICS has used our experience to bring together the very best of SharePoint products and applications in the market under one roof. InDorse's SPIDR offers us a unique value-added SharePoint solution that discovers, tags and protects all information -- including images and video," said Martin Neale, managing director at ICS, Basingstoke, England.

ICS will be showcasing SPIDR at its SharePoint Showcase, November 11th, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (GMT), ICS Campus Basingstoke, England. Interested parties may sign up at: http://www.ics.net/sharepoint-seminars.aspx?seminar=SS#SS

InDorse SPIDR™ improves Microsoft SharePoint in the following ways:

  • Allows an organization to manage the files through contextually-based groups, or classifications, as opposed to applying a single policy by site, folder or file, as is the limitation with SharePoint servers;
  • Indexes the document content and metadata to categorize and classify the risk. Then automatically decides and applies the correct access and usage policy rights for the user upon requesting files from SharePoint libraries;
  • Embeds a digital tag to apply the security policies, (including specific rules for determining who can access the files and what they can do with it) -- without users having to buy DLP software for end user devices;
  • Provides complete history of the document lifecycle including who has used it and which documents spawned which new ones.

Once files are under SPIDR management, InDorse creates an active and embedded audit trail for all file handling, while making the information available via InDorse's context and content-driven tagging system, to report and monitor such characteristics as:

  • Who downloaded a file;
  • What they downloaded;
  • When the file was downloaded;
  • Where the file came from and what computer it went to;
  • How the file was manipulated, e.g., changed, re-filed to a different server under a new name, printed etc.

Mathew Hutchings, president, Dolomite Enterprises, the local leader for business computer care and management in the Las Vegas area, said, "Microsoft SharePoint is one of the best ways for a company to get a needed application up and running quickly and efficiently -- especially for collaboration. However, as SharePoint scales up, there are limitations inherent regarding its capability to implement context-based risk management as well as identify the type of files, where they exist, who in the organization has been accessing the files, and exactly when the files have been viewed and downloaded. We are excited about bringing InDorse Technologies new offering to help strengthen our customers' document security."

Dolomite, a division of MAIS Systems Inc, will be exhibiting the award-winning SPIDR offering at Santa Fe Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on October 21st, 2009. Parties interested in more information or who wish to attend may contact Dolomite at 1-866-575-3690 or by emailing Dan Stock at dan.stock@dolomitelv.com.
