Indulge in Sweet Stories at Paris-Based Le Foodist

Combining Culture and Cuisine, English-Speakers Can Share in an Afternoon of Patisserie!

PARIS, FRANCE--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2013) - Le Foodist, the Paris-based locale which invites travelers to dine together, drink together, and discover culture through storytelling and food, now offers one-of-a-kind patisserie classes for English speakers in Paris. Adding to their impressive repertoire of edutainment events, Sweet Stories teaches the basics of baking (and eating!) French pastries while host and Le Foodist founder Fred Pouillot tells tales of French tradition.

At Sweet Stories, guests experience the close connection between culture and cuisine dedicating an afternoon to designing and devouring delicious French delicacies. Perfect for people who want to have their pate-a-choux and eat it too, or discover the secret to making mouth-watering macarons, meringues and macaronades, Sweet Stories is a hands-on event where guests are empowered with the fundamentals of French patisserie.

Pate-a-choux, the basis for several French pastries including eclairs, cream-puffs and French wedding cake, is explored in one session. Guests work with carefully calculated combinations of butter and sugar, flour and chocolate while they hone their baking talents, learning take-home techniques they can recreate in the comfort of their own kitchens.

When the pastries are ready, everyone gathers around one table to indulge in their tasty treats. Fred Pouillot hosts tea time, explaining the art of eating in the heart of France. Did you know there is a connection between Chantilly, Versailles and the English Revolution? Thanks to the engaging anecdotes Pouillot shares, these stories come alive as guests explore culture from a historical and gastronomical perspective. Like all Le Foodist edutainment events, Sweet Stories promises to be fun, interactive and entertaining.

Sweet Stories run from 2:30-5:00pm, at 65 euro per person including tax and gratuity. Reservations are available for individuals, small groups, or private events.
