Industrial Defender Announces the CS2SAT Toolkit

Cyber Security Self-Assessment Toolkit Now Available for Critical Infrastructure Industries

FOXBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - December 11, 2008) - Industrial Defender, Inc., the global leader in Cyber Risk Protection™, today announced the availability of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Control System Cyber Security Self-Assessment Tool (CS2SAT). For a limited time, the assessment software tool which sells for $399 will be offered free of charge to qualified critical infrastructure asset owners and operators by contacting Industrial Defender.

The DHS has selected Industrial Defender as a licensed distributor of the CS2SAT, which is a software application tool that is designed to assist critical infrastructure asset owners and operators with a comprehensive approach for assessing the cyber security posture of industrial control system and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) networks. The assessment tool was created at the Idaho National Laboratory for the DHS' National Cyber Security Division. The CS2SAT application provides value in the ability to identify the areas of cyber security which demonstrate the greatest risk in addition to providing the ability to assess specific industry regulation requirements, including NERC CIP Critical Infrastructure Protection compliance for the bulk electricity industry.

Sean McGurk, DHS Director of Control Systems Security noted, "The Control System Security Program is pleased to team with Industrial Defender in distributing the CS2SAT and working directly with asset owners to strengthen the cyber security posture of the nation's critical infrastructure and key resources."

"Offering the CS2SAT self-assessment tool will enable critical infrastructure asset owners to conduct a self-assessment of their control system environment as a pre-cursor to a comprehensive cyber security or compliance assessment," said Brian M. Ahern, President and CEO, Industrial Defender. "We are excited to be teaming with the DHS' National Cyber Security Division to help further advance critical infrastructure cyber security protection."
