Industrial Hoist Manufacturing Gives a Lift for New American Jobs at Harrington Hoists; WVSN Reports

MANHEIM, PA--(Marketwire - Feb 5, 2013) - Industrial hoist manufacturing expansion is boosting American jobs in production and warehousing at the new Harrington Hoists, Inc. facility in Elizabethtown, PA.

In a recent tour of the facility, Industry Visions interviewed Carlo Lonardi, the Chief Operating Officer of Harrington Hoists, Inc., who is overseeing its development. "Harrington's North American manufacturing expansion will have a huge impact on the hoist and crane industry as we know it," said Lonardi.

Lonardi also said, "Harrington is one of the nation's oldest hoist manufacturers dating back to the late 1800s and continues to be the market leader in world lifting solutions for industry. To facilitate our growth in the Americas we have recently acquired 100,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space in nearby Elizabethtown, PA. It is at this new facility we will assemble hoist components and package products made in the USA, replacing work that was previously performed in Japan. We will have an assembly line that will perform load testing of the product, chain cutting as well as packaging and warehousing. This is great news because of the local jobs we will create by sourcing hoist components locally and it increases our ability to provide a superior hoist product with the 'Made In America' label on it. The new property offers an excellent solution to our resulting space needs at our headquarters in Manheim, PA where we will continue operations as well. This expansion is also a testament to the great personal relationship Harrington has with KITO Corporation of Japan. KITO has given the additional responsibility to Harrington Hoists, Inc. in that we may supply product to all KITO subsidiaries around the world. Some say this expansion is happening in a tough economic environment; that may be true, but it is an expansion I am excited about because the investment is needed to expand our growth in the North and South American markets."

Carlo Lonardi appeared on WVSN Reports, an industrial news show produced by Industry Visions. Industry Visions broadcasts the lofty endeavors of American Industry.

Harrington Hoists, Inc. previously operated two facilities in the United States, one in Manheim Pennsylvania and the other in Corona California. The new Elizabethtown, PA manufacturing and warehouse facility is within 20 minutes' drive from Harrington's headquarters at the Manheim, PA location.
