Industry Visionary Lara Lee Joins Continuum as Chief Innovation and Operating Officer

Lee to Build Upon Company's Strong Momentum and Grow Global Capability

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Nov 10, 2011) - Continuum, a global innovation and design consultancy, today announced that Lara Lee has joined the company as Chief Innovation and Operating Officer. Based out of Continuum's West Newton headquarters, Lee will be responsible for driving Continuum's core business operations and leading innovation of the global practice.

Named one of 25 "Masters of Innovation" by BusinessWeek in 2006, Lee has lead customer-centric innovation for more than 20 years, working as a consultant and corporate executive across cultures and around the globe, from startups to Fortune 100 companies. A recognized expert in brand communities, experience-based businesses and building cultures of innovation, she most recently served in consulting executive leadership positions, innovating new areas of practice and working with executives at FedEx, GE and the San Diego Zoo to drive growth and build new businesses.

Previously, as Vice President and head of Harley-Davidson's Enthusiast Services division, Lee built an operation that monetized brand-building experiences, incubated new businesses and generated profits while attracting prized female, minority and under-35 customers to the brand. In over 14 years at Harley, Lee created a rider training business that makes money while filling the customer pipeline, built a museum from the ground up to serve as a self-funding marketing machine, pioneered online community engagement and direct-to-consumer retailing, turned cost centers into moneymakers and set the foundation to double international sales. Earlier, she held positions in finance, strategy, marketing and business development, primarily working across Asia-Pacific.
