Indwell to Receive Funding for Harvey Woods Lofts

Project approved under the Small Communities Fund

WOODSTOCK, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 24, 2015) -

Another 26 households in Oxford County will benefit from Indwell's new Harvey Woods Lofts thanks to joint funding from the Governments of Canada and Ontario through the Small Communities Fund.

Indwell's new Harvey Woods Lofts initiative of 80 apartment units includes the remediation of a knitting mill and surrounding land to convert the historic brick building into a high-quality living environment for tenants needing affordable housing with supports. This project will add an additional 26 units to the 54 which are nearly ready for occupancy.

The $1-billion Small Communities Fund provides funding for priority public infrastructure projects that deliver on local needs. Canada and Ontario will each provide $272 million to support projects in communities across the province with fewer than 100,000 residents. This funding will help address local priorities, supporting job creation and economic growth, thus sustaining a high quality of life in small communities across Ontario for years to come.
