Infinera's Duston Williams Joins BlueArc Board of Directors

Company's Chief Financial Officer Adds Financial Expertise and Technology Experience to BlueArc's Board

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2007) - BlueArc® Corp., a market leader in scalable, high-performance network storage, today announced that Duston Williams has joined its board of directors. Williams serves as chief financial officer of Infinera, a leading provider of digital optical networking systems for telecommunications carriers worldwide. Williams joins BlueArc's board with more than 20 years of senior financial management experience for private and public companies in technology sectors including networking, storage and disk drives. He will serve as an independent director.

Williams joined Infinera as their CFO in June of 2006, and led Infinera through their Initial Public Offering (IPO). Prior to Infinera, Williams most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Maxtor Corp., an information storage solutions company. He has also held the position of chief financial officer at Aruba Networks Inc., a network infrastructure company, and Rhapsody Networks Inc., a maker of storage fabric switches acquired by Brocade Communications Systems in 2002. Williams spent 14 years at Western Digital, including four years as chief financial officer with the data storage and hard drive provider.
