Infinity Sales Group Calls Upon Pano Logic for Desktop Virtualization

Largest Authorized DISH TV Call Center Implements Zero Client Desktop Virtualization for Centralized Management and Energy Efficiency

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 3, 2011) - Pano Logic, the leader in zero client desktop virtualization, today announced Infinity Sales Group, the largest authorized DISH satellite television retail call center in North America, replaced its PCs with the Pano System in 2009. Pano Logic enabled Infinity to eliminate time-consuming PC maintenance by 800% and to reduce energy consumption through fully centralized management of Pano Logic zero client desktop virtualization devices.

"For call centers like Infinity Sales Group, desktop computing service interruptions negatively impact productivity, resulting in lost sales and increased labor costs to maintain and manage individual desktops," said Chuck Matulik, vice president of IT, Infinity Sales Group. "With Pano Logic we went from sending administrators to pop open cases to centralized management with a keystroke in less than a year."

Prior to implementing Pano Logic, Infinity Sales Group employed two IT helpdesk workers, who spent 80 percent of their time walking the floor to maintain PCs for 80 workers. Even as Infinity Sales Group has grown to 460 employees, Pano Logic has enabled it to streamline its IT department. Since the deployment, Infinity Sales Group has scaled back to one helpdesk IT worker, who manages the environment centrally from his desk.

Pano Logic zero clients have no processor, no operating system, no storage, nor any moving parts, so they only consume 5 watts of energy, a 97% reduction in energy consumption costs compared to the most energy efficient PCs. Additionally, Infinity Sales Group determined Pano Logic was less expensive than traditional PCs, achieving an immediate ROI during its PC refresh cycle.

"Hypergrowth companies like Infinity Sales Group require the benefits virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) offers," said John Kish, CEO, Pano Logic. "Pano Logic's truly zero management endpoint allows sophisticated call centers like Infinity Sales Group to grow quickly and flexibly, while maintaining optimum productivity."

Infinity Sales Group began implementing Pano Logic in January 2009. Infinity has 14 VMware hosts pushing more than 400 desktop virtual machines (DVMs). The entire organization has Pano devices on its desks, from call center employees to the executives, but no one can tell the difference from PCs.

"As far as Infinity Sales Group is concerned, the only difference between Pano Logic and a PC is that Pano Logic is less expensive and easier to manage," said Matulik.
