Infoblox Wins NetEvents "Technology Leaders 2006" Award

Infoblox Appliance With DNSone Module Rated "Enterprise Product of the Year"

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 6, 2006 -- Infoblox Inc., a developer of essential infrastructure for identity-driven networks (IDNs), today announced that it received NetEvents 2006 "Technology Leader" award at a prestigious award banquet held in the Winter Olympic town of Garmisch, Germany as part of the NetEvents European Press & Analyst Summit 2006, February, 22-24.

More than 35 top European press and analysts were involved in judging the "Technology Leader Awards." In this particular category for "Enterprise Product of the Year," the independent panel of judges included EuroLAN Research, 01 Informatique (France), Network Computing (Germany), LAN Magazine (Netherlands) and Broadband Testing Labs. Steve Broadhead of Broadband Testing Labs summed up their decision as follows: "We selected the Infoblox DNSone as Enterprise Product of the Year because it is an excellent example of providing real applications that every business needs, in a simple appliance form factor. What's even more compelling is that the simplicity belies the power of the underlying technology, which represents a refreshing victory for practicality over excess."

The other two finalists in the Enterprise Product category were Juniper for their Infranet Controller 6000 and Zultys' MX250 Enterprise Media Exchange.

Richard Kagan, vice president of Marketing at Infoblox, commented: "In addition to the inherent management, scalability and reliability advantages afforded by our appliance approach, the Infoblox solutions are based on unique technology that is instrumental in helping enterprises transform their anonymous networks into identity-driven networks -- essential to meeting the security, compliance and emerging application needs of today's and tomorrow's advanced IP networks."

Infoblox network identity appliances provide the essential foundation for identity-driven networks (IDNs), delivering reliable, scalable, and secure network identity services including domain name resolution (DNS), IP address assignment (DHCP), authentication (RADIUS), and IP address management (IPAM). The integrated Infoblox approach combines the simplicity of appliances with the power of advanced distributed database technology to effectively achieve availability, manageability, visibility, and control unparalleled by conventional solutions based on legacy technologies.

"Congratulations to Infoblox on being our first Enterprise Product Award winner against strong competition," commented Mark Fox, NetEvents founder. "With so much industry, analyst and press talent regularly gathering under one roof, it made sense to launch these awards and open the field to non-delegates so that some of the benefits of NetEvents Press Summits can now be enjoyed by a wider circle. Further, we were especially delighted to help raise over $32,000 for cancer research charities."

The 2006 award is the first in what will become an annual event open to all suppliers of networking or telecommunications products or services launched and delivered in the 12 months prior to 31st January each year. The award ceremonies will be incorporated into a NetEvents Press Summit -- regular 2-day events held across Europe, Asia and the USA to bring together industry leaders and the world's press. The award is a non-profit enterprise, with all proceeds going to charity -- to be shared this year between the American Cancer Society and the Prostate Project Foundation for cancer research.
