Infobright Appoints Laurence Gutcher as CFO and Susan Davis as VP of Marketing; Opens U.S. Office

Pioneer in Analytic Data Warehouse Solutions Fuels Market Momentum With Expansion of Leadership Team

TORONTO--(Marketwire - March 10, 2008) - Infobright, an innovative analytic data warehouse provider, today announced that it has named Laurence Gutcher as chief financial officer and Susan Davis as vice president of marketing. In addition to these appointments, Infobright announced the establishment of a Boston-based office to continue driving the momentum in the U.S. market.

"Susan and Laurence have proven track records of driving very strong business results, and we're delighted that they are joining the Infobright team," said Miriam Tuerk, chief executive officer of Infobright. "As our path-breaking and highly successful approach to data warehousing continues to gain market traction, these two leaders in their respective fields will help us to build on the solid foundation we have established."

With its Brighthouse solution, Infobright has fundamentally reinvented data warehouse architecture. Brighthouse represents a departure from other data warehouse solutions that require labor intensive data partitioning and indexing. In sharp contrast, Brighthouse achieves breakthrough performance -- particularly for highly complex, ad-hoc queries -- with its flexible, patent-pending Knowledge Grid and integrated Optimizer.

About Laurence Gutcher

As Infobright's CFO, Gutcher will lead the development and implementation of financial best practices throughout company operations and manage important administrative functions such as human resources.

Gutcher joins Infobright from PriceMetrix Inc., a privately held company specializing in advisor productivity solutions for the full-service brokerage industry. During his tenure there, he drove the annual strategic and business planning process. Prior to PriceMetrix, Gutcher served as CFO and corporate secretary at Necho Systems Corp., Nevex Software Technologies Inc., and INEX Corporation where, among other duties, he led successful exit strategies for these companies, as well as various debt and equity financings. He started his career at Bell Canada where he held a variety of management positions. Gutcher is a certified management account (CMA) and holds an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a B.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto. He also studied at Handelshögskolan, the Stockholm School of Economics.

"Infobright's world class team has built a solution that gives business executives the information they need quickly without placing a burden on IT," said Gutcher. "I look forward to joining this team and leveraging my experience to help the company achieve its ambitious goals in the coming years."

About Susan Davis

Davis, based in the company's Boston location, assumes responsibility for establishing and guiding Infobright's global marketing strategy, as well as overseeing marketing operations.

Davis brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, product management and software development to her role at Infobright. Prior to joining Infobright, she was vice president of marketing for Egenera, a pioneer in the virtualization of data center infrastructure. At Egenera, she launched the marketing and product management functions and helped grow the company to more than $100 million in annual sales in five years. Prior to Egenera, she was director of product management at Lucent Technologies/Ascend Communications where she was responsible for the release and launch of the telecommunications industry's first commercially available softswitch. Earlier, as director of ISV relations for Stratus Computer, she developed and managed relationships with the computer industry's top 50 ISVs. Davis began her career at Honeywell/Bull, where she held a number of engineering positions in software development and support. She holds a B.S. in economics from Cornell University.

"The need for better ways to manage and extract value from corporate data will increase exponentially over time, giving Infobright a tremendous market opportunity," said Davis. "I am excited about working with a company whose radical new approach holds the key to taking price/performance to a new level, which in turn, will drive real innovation in how business people use data across the business."
