Infobright Appoints Roger Cummings Vice President of Worldwide Sales Operations

Executive With 20 Years of Experience to Drive World-Class Sales Organization

TORONTO--(Marketwire - November 18, 2008) - Infobright (www.infobright.com), the open source data warehousing company, today announced the appointment of Roger Cummings as vice president of worldwide sales operations. Cummings brings more than 20 years of experience in business-to-business software sales and channel development. Cummings will be responsible for growing Infobright's rapidly expanding customer base through both direct sales and channel partners, as well as working closely with key partners such as MySQL/Sun. Cummings will be based in Chicago, Illinois.

"Roger has a tremendous track record of accomplishment in growing sales organizations in the software industry, and we are extremely pleased that he will be taking the reins of the excellent team we have assembled," said Miriam Tuerk, chief executive officer of Infobright. "In addition, his understanding of how to successfully create and manage partner relationships will play a vital role in Infobright's growth strategy."

Prior to joining Infobright, Cummings served as vice president of worldwide sales operations at Archivas, where he grew revenues in the data archive market by 120 percent in the two years prior to the company's acquisition by Hitachi Data Systems. Prior to Archivas, Cummings was the vice president of sales for AppIQ, a leading storage resource management and SAN management vendor, where he grew sales for eight consecutive quarters and helped the company reach profitability leading up to its successful acquisition by Hewlett Packard Company. Before AppIQ, Cummings was vice president of sales for TrelliSoft, a file classification vendor, where he played a significant role in the company's successful acquisition by IBM. Prior to TrelliSoft, Cummings held various sales management and business development positions at Platinum Technology. Cummings holds bachelor degrees in marketing and management from Loras College.

"Infobright is in the right place at the right time, allowing a broader range of companies to obtain the benefits of data warehousing at a time when they simply can't afford expensive proprietary solutions and the huge technical resources they require," said Cummings. "I'm extremely excited about helping the company build on its initial success and creating a world-class sales organization."
