Infobright Selected as Maker Studios' Analytic Database Technology Provider

Infobright to Analyze Data From Maker's 2,000+ YouTube Channels and Provide Performance Metrics From Its 95 Million+ Subscribers

TORONTO--(Marketwire - Oct 16, 2012) - Infobright today announced that Maker Studios, a next-generation talent first media company, has chosen Infobright® Enterprise Edition (IEE) as their choice analytic database technology. IEE will store and analyze performance data from Maker's 2,000+ YouTube channels as well as provide online access to the metrics for content producers. IEE's administrative simplicity, fast query performance and familiar SQL interface were key considerations in the selection of Infobright's analytic database.

"With the rapid growth of our network comes a need for real-time insight into our business performance," said Ryan Lissack, CTO, Maker Studios. "Using IEE will enable us to implement a new analytic system quickly and without the administrative effort and tuning other databases require, all without sacrificing the performance our users demand."

"Businesses that are growing as fast as Maker Studios need to know how their network is performing and don't necessarily have the time to implement and manage databases that require a lot of care and feeding," said Don DeLoach, CEO, Infobright. "We are excited to provide the expertise and technology needed for Maker Studios, along with their content producers, to have direct access to their performance metrics, and are thrilled to be part of the explosive world of online programming."

Maker Studios will use IEE to capture machine-generated data ranging from video engagement metrics and advertising data from YouTube to social media data from Facebook and Twitter. Aggregating this data provides critical insight such as which channels and videos are attracting the largest audience and collecting the most advertising revenue. With IEE, data analysts have the ability to run ad-hoc analysis to gain further perspective, while an executive dashboard provides management with an immediate view of performance and revenues across the network. In addition, an online portal will provide channel and video performance data to more than 2,000 content producers before the end of 2012. With this data, Maker's content providers will have near real-time detailed information on who their viewers are, what kind of content they like and how they are discussing it and engaging others across social media platforms. This detailed viewer information will help content providers develop content that is closely attuned to viewers interests.

Maker Studios bridges the gap between TV and YouTube, and the company is home to many of online video's top digital stars and content including the all-time most-subscribed personality Ray William Johnson, KassemG, The Game Station, Nice Peter's "Epic Rap Battles of History," the Shaytards, The Yogscast, Mike Tompkins and celebrity actress/comedian LisaNova, among others. Today, Maker's network includes 2,000+ channels with more than 95 million subscribers, driving over 1.5 billion views online each month. Maker Studios is the only network to offer content creators development, production, promotion and distribution, as well as sales and marketing services.
