LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 22, 2012) - The Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act (PAHPA) Reauthorization moves to conference committee following unanimous approval by the U.S. Senate. According to Senator Richard Burr, R-N.C., the lead sponsor of the Senate bill, "We have come a long way in improving our nation's ability to respond to a bioterror attack or public health emergency... but the 2009 H1N1 pandemic underscored the reality that more remains to be done."
