Information Builders' Customers Earn Recognitions at 2016 PTI Technology Solutions Awards

Data-Driven Projects Transform Operations and Transparency Within Public Service

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 17, 2016) - Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI) and analytics, information integrity, and integration solutions, today announced that the Public Technology Institute (PTI) has named its customer, the City of Irving, Texas, a 2016 Technology Solutions Award winner. In addition, two other customers, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office and the City of Brampton, Ontario, were honored for Significant Achievement by PTI.

Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office
In the Public Safety category, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office earned a Significant Achievement Award for its BI project that lowers crime rates while increasing productivity, efficiency, and agility. With the help of Information Builders, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office streamlines data integration, sharing data across 19 divisions in dashboards, squad cars, and crime centers enabling the agency to leverage real-time data for real-time decision-making. City of Brampton, Ontario
The City of Brampton, Ontario earned a Significant Achievement Award in the Telecommunications and Information Technology category. In an effort to reduce data errors and establish golden records, the City of Brampton worked with Information Builders to create a master database for property, employee data, giving city workers across departments a single, accurate view of properties, and staff. The City continues to work with Information Builders to build master data records for its citizens and partners. Using Information Builders' integration, data quality, and master data management (MDM) tools, the city propagates golden records and a "Single Source of the Truth" for properties, persons, and employees across city systems. City of Irving, Texas
Irving, Texas was honored with the Technology Solutions Award in the Data and Performance Metrics category. The award is in recognition of a project the city embarked upon in partnership with Information Builders to improve accountability, transparency, and operational excellence through performance management and data-driven decision-making. City managers in Irving, the 13th largest city in Texas, collect performance data from various departments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and publish public reports and report cards aligned with core business processes for all service areas, such as public safety, code enforcement, and economic development. Since implementing the system, the City of Irving has improved revenues and lowered costs by more than $40 million, while simultaneously improving citizen and business satisfaction. "Obtaining a unified view of data assets poses significant challenges to organizations large and small. The outstanding work to implement sophisticated BI and analytics that fuel data integration, data quality, and MDM being done by the City of Irving, the City of Brampton, and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is proof positive that a data-driven strategy can help achieve great things," said Gerald Cohen, president and CEO of Information Builders. "We congratulate each of them on the PTI Award recognition, and we look forward to working closely together to continue their data quality transformation."
