Information Builders Expands to Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE--(Marketwire - Jul 3, 2012) - Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI) and analytics, information integrity, and integration solutions, today announced the opening of its first subsidiary in Southeast Asia. Established to further Information Builders' goal of providing industry-leading BI solutions to corporations and governments worldwide, the subsidiary will have its headquarters in Singapore and will service regional customers and partners, including those in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India.

Mark Kocken will serve as regional manager of Information Builders Singapore and report to Dave Watson, vice president of Agent Operations. Information Builders has always seen Southeast Asia (SEA) as the future of the BI market. The company is well-positioned to capitalize on the region's burgeoning economies and its need for new technologies. With a dedicated office, the company will be able to expand upon its new business activity and further increase its presence in the country by pursuing new industry sectors and offering a wider range of consultancy and professional services to existing and future clients.

Kocken has 25 years of industry and related experience and joined Information Builders Australia in 2009 as a senior pre-sales consultant. Most recently, Kocken served as regional architect for Information Builders APAC where he worked to expand the company's presence in Singapore and greater SEA. Prior to joining Information Builders, Kocken was an Australian-based enterprise account manager for Vignette, an enterprise software company. He joined Vignette as a solutions architect in 1997 via the acquisition of Tower Technology.

With the expansion of Information Builders into SEA, Kocken has the opportunity to make Information Builders as successful in the region as it is in other parts of the world. Kocken's role is to not only manage our partner network in the region, but also become the direct face of Information Builders for our SEA client base. Having spent much time in Singapore at Vignette and Information Builders, Kocken combines an understanding of our technology with a cultural understanding of the region.
