Information Builders Named Customer Service Department of the Year in the 2013 American Business Awards

Individual Members of Support Team Also Honored for Contributions to Company's Excellent Customer Service

In addition to taking the gold Stevie® in this category, Information Builders' Director of Strategic Support Services, Vashti Ragoonath, was honored with a silver award as Support Staffer of the Year, and Daniel Ortolani, the company's vice president of Worldwide Customer Service, was awarded a bronze in the Customer Service Executive of the Year category.

Information Builders' recognition as Customer Service Department of the Year reflects the value it places on delivering an unparalleled customer experience. The company is committed to helping all customers, and their stakeholders, access and use data to make better decisions, and this ethos extends to its Customer Support Services (CSS) department, led by CSS Vice President Stu Madison and Senior Director Douglas Tina. The CSS team approaches customer service as a means to ensure organizations are deriving maximum value from their BI investments. As such, not only do employees provide technical support for Information Builders' products, but also partner with customers to demonstrate how BI can address the unique needs of their organization.

In 2012, Information Builders received a customer satisfaction score of 93 percent, indicating that customers acknowledge the high priority placed on supporting their needs, even under extreme circumstances For example, when Superstorm Sandy battered the country in the fall of 2012, customers experienced uninterrupted 24/7 support services and major BI projects were successfully completed, meeting their production rollout deadlines.

In his leadership role, Daniel Ortolani lays the framework for the company's ongoing dedication to customer care.
