Ingenico ePayments Wins Best International CNP Program at 2016 CNP Awards

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - May 31, 2016) - Ingenico ePayments, the online and mobile commerce division of Ingenico Group (Euronext: FR0000125346 - ING), is proud to announce that the company was recognized for its international card-not-present capabilities with a CNP Award at the 2016 CNP Expo in Orlando, Florida. The 'Best International CNP Program' award is given to the international organization "that most effectively meets the specific needs of merchants that accept CNP payments." With offices in every major market in the world, Ingenico ePayments is a truly global Payment Service Provider supporting merchants looking to expand into new, international markets.

In the CNP jury report, the judging panel noted that Ingenico caught its attention for the way in which the company realized its vision to evolve from a pure payment-terminal provider to a leading player in payment solutions for merchants across all channels with the creation of Ingenico ePayments, which was built on the heritage of the acquired PSPs Ogone and GlobalCollect.

The jury goes on to state, "Ingenico ePayments is uniquely positioned in the card-not-present, cross-border payment processing space. A comprehensive, full-service collecting model means merchants have a single connection and single remittance, yet gain access to one of the world's largest portfolios of international payment methods. Ingenico ePayments leverages a network of acquiring partners across all geographies, bringing extra flexibility and driving increased conversion for merchants."

The jury further praises Ingenico's unique cross-channel offering that relies on deep expertise in EMV and face-to-face environment requirements, as well as a very strong e-commerce offering. Finally, the judges called out Ingenico Connect, a new set of tools and interfaces for merchants to easily connect to Ingenico's full-service GlobalCollect platform and optimize the checkout experience for any device, as motivation for its decision.

"We are very excited to be recognized as a leader in international card-not-present payments. This CNP Award is a great reward for all the hard work that has gone into merging the operations of Ogone and GlobalCollect, and launching the Ingenico ePayments brand into the market," said Pierre-Antoine Vacheron, Executive Vice President, Ingenico ePayments. "Cross-border commerce is the fastest-growing segment of total global eCommerce, and to be named as Best International CNP Program in our first year as Ingenico ePayments validates our strategy and confirms that our global footprint is an important asset to merchants looking to sell internationally."

"As card-not-present payments become increasingly integrated into mobile and omnichannel strategies, the complexity has opened the door even wider for bad actors seeking to steal personal information from consumers and leverage it for fraud," said Steve Casco, founder of CardNotPresent.com and the CNP Expo. "Our new categories this year -- and the number of companies that entered in those categories -- reflect the response of an entire industry to the threats facing CNP merchants. The CNP Awards continue to represent the very best the world has to offer supporting card-not-present payments."
