Ingenico's iWL2 Series Mobile Payment Terminals Are First Devices to Connect and Accept Payment on AT&T's 3G Wireless Network

Merchants Gain Flexibility to Checkout Shoppers 'On-the-Go' With the Industry's Only 3G and Contactless Payment Certified Devices in North America

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Sep 5, 2012) - Ingenico (Euronext: FR0000125346 - ING), leading worldwide provider of payment solutions, today announced that its latest iWL2 series mobile point-of-sale (POS) devices have obtained certification through AT&T's 3G Wireless Network. With this certification, the iWL2 series terminals become the payment industry's first secure wireless devices to operate on the 3G network.

Built on Ingenico's industry leading Telium2 architecture, the iWL2 series represents the smallest and most lightweight secure mobile payment devices on the market today. With 3G connectivity and color screen option, the iWL2 series provides merchants with convenience to engage customers anywhere and accept payments on the move, quickly, and securely. The device is capable of accepting all forms of electronic payments, including magnetic stripe contact and contactless, EMV contact and contactless, and mobile wallet (NFC-based) transactions. Specifically designed for mobility, the device is equipped with the most advanced features and cellular technology, which makes it ideal for various use cases like home delivery, restaurants, sporting events, field services, and other mobile payment venues.

"Mobile technology has changed almost every aspect of our daily lives including how consumers shop for products. Adoption of mobile payment technology to harness this evolution can create customer loyalty, keep the checkout lines clear, and take payment beyond the brick and mortar storefront," said Gregory Boardman, Senior Vice President, Product & Development, Ingenico North America. "The iWL2 series devices provide additional features such as extended battery life and a fast receipt printer found to be more attractive with mid-to-high volume small merchants. Additionally, Ingenico has demonstrated new capabilities for wireless payment terminals such as pairing with commercial tablet solutions for enterprises. The fact that it's the first mobile POS device series to secure AT&T's 3G certification is further testament of Ingenico's focus on leadership in mobile, EMV and contactless payments."

The iWL2 series mobile devices are readily available for purchase and distribution through Ingenico's authorized distributors in North America.
