Ingram Micro Buffalo Honored With Local Business Ethics Nomination

Leading Technology Distribution Partner Named Finalist for Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards

BUFFALO, NY--(Marketwire - May 16, 2012) - Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) today announced it was honored as a finalist for the Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Association (BNBEA) Crystal Award at the 6th annual Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards on Thursday, May 10. Each year, BNBEA celebrates several Buffalo-area businesses for outstanding commitment to business ethics. Recognized as the world's leading technology distributor, Ingram Micro is also one of the largest employers and philanthropic organizations based in the Buffalo/Niagara region.

The annual BNBEA award event raises community awareness of ethical behavior and pays tribute to companies that consistently demonstrate ethical conduct throughout their corporate culture. Winners are selected after a review of applications by Canisius College MBA students, who then recommend finalists in each category. Finally, a panel of community leaders selects one finalist from each category (small, midsize, and large businesses) as recipients of the Crystal Award.

Among the other finalists for the coveted Crystal Award were: Cortese Construction Services, DIGITS, LLC and Linde (small business category); the A.J. Baynes Group, Mollenberg-Betz and Nussbaumer & Clark (midsize business category); and Allpro Parking, the Hamister Group and Ingram Micro Inc. (large business category).

"There is no better time than now to recognize ethical behavior," says Fred Holender, chair of the 2012 Award Steering Committee. "We're proud to salute the finalists' commitment to the high standards of ethical business practices throughout their organizations and the community."

"This honor validates the high importance placed on personal and corporate ethics by Ingram Micro and our associates," says Tom Bamrick, executive director, global sales, Ingram Micro U.S. "At the foundation of our success is our commitment to corporate social responsibility, which includes our standards for ethical, honest and legal business practices. With a presence in 26 countries around the globe, our world is not just where we do business, it is where we live, play, and raise our families. As part of the Buffalo community, we are truly honored to be in the company of such distinguished finalists and part of this event."
