Robyn Tingley Honored for Outstanding Diversity and Leadership Skills at Annual Conference

She is also speaking on a panel at the conference titled "Gaining the Trust and Credibility You Deserve."

The awards were presented in conjunction with the 4th Annual California Diversity & Leadership Conference, held April 18-19, 2013, at the Hilton Concord in Concord, Calif. The conference, which featured keynote speaker Soledad O'Brien, correspondent and host of Starting Point on CNN, gave participants an opportunity to share the tools necessary to build a diverse talent pool that can accomplish organizational goals. Honorees were chosen based on leadership excellence, a sustained record of accomplishments and/or contributions to their field of work throughout their career and a commitment to community well-being.

Tingley is a certified Global Human Resources professional who has worked internationally in the fields of human resources, communications, corporate social responsibility, public policy and journalism. Prior to her current position, Tingley was previously vice president of Human Resources and Communications for Ingram Micro Europe based in Brussels, Belgium. She has been with Ingram Micro for five years. Prior to joining Ingram Micro, she was vice president of Communications and Public Affairs for Bell Aliant, a Canadian-based leader in telecommunications.

For her contributions to community, in 2011 Tingley was recognized by her alma mater St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia, Canada, as the Young Alumna of the Year. She holds a degree in psychology from St. Francis Xavier University and a post-graduate degree in journalism from the University of King's College. Tingley earned her certification as a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) in Luxembourg and has completed continuing education programs at Oxford University in the United Kingdom and the Paul Merage School of Business at University of California, Irvine.
