World's Largest Technology Distributor Raises $130,000 to Benefit Seven Orange County Charities

SANTA ANA, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 8, 2012) - Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest technology distributor, announced today that it raised $130,000 at its 19th Annual West Coast Charity Golf Tournament, bringing the total amount raised over the past 19 years to over $1 million, supporting more than 50 non-profit organizations. The tournament was held Saturday, June 2, at the Tustin Ranch Golf Course in Tustin, Calif.

"Ingram Micro's long-standing commitment to our communities remains as strong as ever, even during these challenging economic times," said Keith Bradley, president, Ingram Micro North America. "Once again, our associates and strategic partners stepped up to support these important charities that do so much for our veterans and community. I'm proud to be part of such a great organization and I want to thank everyone involved."

With the help of partners and sponsors, the tournament provided seven charities with donations of $15,000 each:

  • Orangewood Children's Foundation - Serving Orange County, Orangewood provides one-on-one support for abused and neglected children and at-risk families.
  • Someone Cares Soup Kitchen - Someone Cares Soup Kitchen provides a daily nutritional meal to homeless, unemployed, working poor families, senior citizens, the mentally and physically challenged and children.

The charity event was sponsored by Ingram Micro's strategic vendors and manufacturer representatives, including TIBCO, Cisco, Ergotron, L&T InfoTech, Genpact LLC, Intel and Sprint.
