Innotas Announces Integration With Atlassian's JIRA 5 to Combine Agile Project Tracking and IT Portfolio Management

Integration Delivers Greater Visibility and Improved IT Decision-Making

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 29, 2012) - Innotas, the leading provider of Cloud Solutions for IT management, today announced an integration of Atlassian's JIRA 5 project tracking software with its Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution. Atlassian is the leading provider of collaboration software for development teams.

Innotas will deliver a pre-built integration between its PPM solution and JIRA 5. With the integration, Innotas brings JIRA's project related data, status updates and agile development into the Innotas IT Management framework for better visibility, reporting, and governance. It enables organizations to capture work and projects across the enterprise and make the data easily available in its PPM solution. Specifically, it eliminates double entry of status and time data for more accurate reporting.

The JIRA/Innotas integration is ideal for Innotas' PPM customers and prospects that have a team using JIRA to track work for agile application development. Those customers can now push JIRA work statuses and time reporting directly to the Innotas system without needing to log into Innotas separately and reenter the data there.

"Connecting the work in process to the initiatives and projects approved is a challenge for many IT organizations today," said Tim Madewell, Senior Vice President, Services at Innotas. "Visibility and decision making are only as good as the data put into any IT management system. By integrating best-in-class software like JIRA with our PPM solution, IT Managers have a comprehensive view into their projects and initiatives, enabling better decision-making."

He added, "IT Project management is more powerful when integrated with other critical IT Management systems, such as project tracking, IT service management and asset management. To provide IT executive management with a clear picture of their IT operations and projects, we built this integration with JIRA. Now, IT executives will have a more comprehensive view into their systems, enabling better decision-making."

"We are thrilled to work with Innotas and give our customers an easy way to leverage the data from JIRA 5 into Innotas IT management systems," said Ken Olofsen, Atlassian's group product marketing manager, JIRA.
