Innova Holdings, Inc. Joins Agile Robotics Alliance

FORT MYERS, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 17, 2005 -- Innova Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: IVHG), an automation technology company providing hardware and software systems-based solutions to the service, personal, and industrial robotic markets, announces that it has joined the Agile Robotics Alliance, an initiative of The Technology Collaborative, Pittsburgh, PA.

The Agile Robotics Alliance (ARA) represents a globally competitive community of organizations with comprehensive expertise in advanced robotic systems and component technologies. The ARA provides organizations with the opportunity to bid on proposals with other Alliance members as requested by the National Center for Defense Robotics, network with other robotics-related organizations, obtain support for participating in the Department of Defense Mentor Protégé program, and provide input for curriculum development in relevant targeted areas.

The National Center for Defense Robotics (NCDR), another initiative of The Technology Collaborative, works closely with ARA member companies, universities, and other organizations to understand their business challenges and technological capabilities. The purpose of the cooperative spirit between ARA and NCDR is to select, fund and manage technology development and integration programs, facilitate teaming agreements, such as mentor-protégé relationships, and to develop general, computer-based training materials for unmanned systems.

"When we heard Walter Weisel's keynote at the recent RoboNexus Exhibition and Conference in San Jose, California, and viewed Innova's booth, it was immediately clear that this company would be a valuable member in the Agile Robotics Alliance," says Patricia Rote, Vice President of Marketing for The Technology Collaborative.

Mr. Weisel's keynote featured a video depicting mission-critical robotic application needs, as well as an assessment of the state-of-the-art in precise motion control, tactile sensing, vision, mobility, and the wide range of robotic arms required to complete specific missions in industrial, consumer, homeland security, military, and space applications. Innova's booth featured an operational robot integrated with a fully flexible mobile platform, both being directed by the company's new multi-axis open PC control, which integrated all aspects of the system. The robotic arm, dressed in military camouflage garb, directed the robot and the Stewart platform to probe the details of a model tank and inspected a Military Humvee for dangerous materials and personnel.

"We are honored to have been invited to join this prestigious consortium," says Walter Weisel, Chairman and CEO of Innova Holdings, Inc. "We look forward to contributing our innovative technologies within a pioneering group of leading roboticists that will accelerate practical developments in the field of mobile robotics. The resulting applications will be used by the military and through technology transfer initiatives, will proliferate to sectors like homeland security, space and undersea exploration, and even eldercare."
