Innova Holdings, Inc. Participates in First Joint Military/Civilian Conference on Intelligent Vehicle Technology Transfer

FORT MYERS, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 14, 2005 -- Innova Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: IVHG), an automation technology company providing hardware and software systems-based solutions to the service, personal, and industrial robotic markets, announces that Chairman and CEO Walter Weisel was among the invited guests at the First Joint Military/Civilian Conference on Intelligent Vehicle Technology Transfer that was held November 2-3, 2005 at the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan. Mr. Weisel was asked to become a member of the Steering Committee for his extensive experience in the field of robotics.

The Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Robotics Program, sponsored the Conference in conjunction with the Department of Transportation Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (DOT ITS JPO) and the intelligent systems Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (ISD NIST). TARDEC hosted the unclassified Conference that was open to 300 participants from government, industry, academia, and the media.

The Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) are both supporting the development of intelligent vehicles. The DOD intends to deploy autonomous intelligent vehicles (robots) to reduce human casualties on the battlefield and increase the global combat efficiency and effectiveness of the U.S. military against conventional and unconventional forces. The DOT supports intelligent vehicle technology to reduce human casualties on the nation's highways and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the U.S. transportation system.

The purpose of the Conference was to provide a foundation and framework for establishing a technology transfer process for the development of intelligent vehicles for military and civilian applications and markets. Mr. Weisel discussed Innova's experience in robotic arm technologies as it could be applied to unmanned vehicles.

Fundamental technologies required for intelligent vehicles include control, sensor, mobility, and interface systems. "Unmanned vehicles must have the arms, sensors, vision systems, and gripper technology to have superior weapons capabilities," stated Mr. Weisel.

The DoD is supporting the development of a number of intelligent ground vehicles through several intelligent vehicle programs, including the Joint Robotics Program (JRP), including the Future Combat System (FCS) Program and programs supported by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and other agencies. The DOD programs are developing and fielding first-generation unmanned ground vehicles with current technologies while pursuing advanced technologies. The JRP is currently developing 22 distinct intelligent vehicle systems.
