Innovation Group Congratulates Grace Hanson on 2015 Women in Insurance Leadership Win

FARMINGTON, CT--(Marketwired - Oct 29, 2015) - The Innovation Group plc (Innovation Group) is pleased to congratulate Grace Hanson, senior vice president and chief claims officer for Homesite Insurance (Homesite), who was recently named one of the 2015 Women in Insurance Leadership by Insurance Networking News.

Hanson and nine other honorees were recognized on October 28 and 29 during the Women in Insurance Leadership Forum held in Chicago. Hanson's inclusion in this year's impressive group of winners is due in large part to her dedication to her company and the industry, as well as her ability to drive measureable change which has contributed to increased financial opportunities for Homesite.

Hanson joined Homesite during a high-growth period in which the claims department needed a complete restructuring, including implementation of industry best practices and a comprehensive technology replacement of a legacy system to support the entire organization. She worked with the technology team and vendors to successfully achieve and exceed expectations related to meeting the company's claims replacement goal. Today, her primary responsibilities include oversight of Homesite's nationwide claims department, including strategic planning, finances, and field operations.

In 2014, Hanson worked in collaboration with the CIO at Homesite to lead a claims systems replacement project. Hanson and her team identified the gaps in the base software package they needed to have in place in order to roll out the system to the business, resulting in a successful launch of the software in January 2015.
