Innovative Analytics Makes Third Consecutive Listing on Inc. Magazine's 500 | 5000 Top Performing Companies

Also Included on Michigan 50 Companies to Watch List

KALAMAZOO, MI--(Marketwire - Oct 11, 2011) - While some businesses are struggling to stay afloat, entrepreneurial companies like Innovative Analytics (IA) are creating jobs and gaining market share.

Innovative Analytics is a specialized data services company attracting praise from national media, global biopharmaceutical and medical device companies, and Michigan economic development agencies.

Founded in 2003 by Patricia Ruppel, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Jim Dancy, Chief Operating Officer (COO), IA provides data capture, medical writing and statistical analysis services for clients engaged in clinical research trials.

The company's client base is primarily comprised of pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies developing therapies and devices that require regulatory approval for use in humans.

Innovative Analytics captured the attention of the media and global biopharmaceutical and medical device companies because of the company's exceptional performance in a very specialized and competitive segment of the global clinical research market, according to Jim Dancy.

"We're successful because we understood -- from our earliest days as a company -- the importance of investing in the people, technologies, and specialized training that come together to create real value to our clients," he said.

Long-time clinical data management veterans, Jim and Patricia recognized the opportunities being created by large-scale workforce reductions at biopharmaceutical companies. The two formed IA and began hiring experienced industry professionals skilled in data management, biostatistical, and medical writing.

"Our staff, then and now are among the best in clinical data services. And it isn't due solely to their training and experience; it is also due to their desire to be part of an enduring, respected organization that provides a critically important element of clinical research," said Patricia.

In addition to being named, for the third year, on the Inc. 500 | 5000 list, IA was also included on the Michigan 50 Companies to Watch list, which evaluates a business on the basis of 'hard' economic impact criteria, such as revenue and employee growth, and by qualitative criteria, such as our future business plans and conduct as a corporate citizen of the community.

According to Inc. Magazine, the median growth rate of the 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. The companies on this year's list reportedly created 350,000 jobs in the past three years; aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.

Michigan 50 Companies to Watch is presented by Michigan Celebrates Small Business in association with its founders: Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Small Business Association of Michigan, the U.S. Small Business Administration - Michigan, the Greater Lansing Business Monthly, and the Edward Lowe Foundation.
