Innovative Mafi Design Enhances Education Experience

Mafi-America, Inc. Installs 5400 Square Feet of Sustainable Wooden Flooring at the West Coast University Headquarters in Costa Mesa, California

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - February 24, 2011) -  In the world of education the recession is driving up enrollment at many institutions, prompting expansions of their facilities. West Coast University operates three Southern California facilities located in Orange County, Ontario, and Los Angeles. Today, WCU, who is one of the largest educators of nurses in the state, just finished upgrading yet another state of the art facility in Costa Mesa, California.

"We are certain that good design not only inspires learning but also educates about quality and standards. Within the global economy, the highest performing companies see design as a strategic asset. It becomes the core to their businesses," said the CEO of Mafi-America, Inc., Nic Neumann.

Mafi-America, Inc. installed 5400 square feet of their newly unveiled Tiger Oak black filler flooring at the WCU headquarters which has been redesigned by the architectural firm of Shlemmer Algaze + Associates. The Tiger Oak flooring is baked using Mafi's exclusive technique, which creates natural cracks in the wood. Using an epoxy, each crack can be filled with dozens of color choices. The resulting floor offers a bold addition to the design esthetic of a home or business. Each floor is unique and can be fully customized to the client's preference. Mafi floors have been previously installed at 40 Bond and Soho Mews in New York.
