InsideSales.com Announces First European ResponseAwards Winners

More Than 1,400 Companies Were 'Secret Shopped,' Only 46% Responded to Web Leads Within the First Four Days

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - May 21, 2015) - InsideSales.com, the leading cloud-based sales acceleration technology company, today announced from their Research Department the first-ever European ResponseAwards winners live from the floor of the Salesforce World Tour London event.

ResponseAwards winners were recognised based on their ability to respond immediately to inbound web leads. InsideSales.com used its proprietary ResponseAudit™ assessments to test the web lead response times for companies attending the Salesforce World Tour London show.

The ResponseAwards winners and their response times are:

  1. Insync Insurance Solutions Limited: 1 minute 59 seconds
  2. Signify Solutions Limited: 3 minutes 6 seconds
  3. National Accident Helpline: 3 minutes 56 seconds

InsideSales.com also released a list of the Top 100 companies from the show on their website.

The research project reviewed web properties for more than 3,000 companies attending today's event. One surprising discovery was that 37% of the companies reviewed didn't appear to have web forms to capture inbound leads from their websites.

Of the more than 1,400 companies who were "secret shopped" with leads submitted via their websites, 13% responded with a phone call and 46% responded with a phone call or email within the first four days.

The research also found:

  • The average response time to first response by telephone among companies who did respond to the inbound lead was 24 hours, 13 minutes.
  • On average, these companies attempted 2.39 telephone follow-ups.
  • 86.6% had not attempted a telephone follow-up within the first four days.

So what does this research mean?

Harvard Business Review in conjunction with InsideSales.com found that firms responding to a lead within 1 hour are 60 times more likely to make contact than firms waiting 24 hours.

Only about 27% of Internet leads ever get contacted. InsideSales.com technology users have demonstrated ability to contact up to 92% of web-based leads (3.5x increase).
