Insomniac's First Ever "EDC Week Charity Auction" Raises Approximately $70,000 for Culture Shock Las Vegas in Just 10 Days

Insomniac and Las Vegas Partners Auctioned Off More Than 50 Exclusive EDC Week Adventures for Dance Music Fans on eBay Giving Works


LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - May 18, 2015) - Insomniac's very first "EDC Week Charity Auction" came to a close on Friday, May 15, raising approximately $70,000 for Culture Shock Las Vegas (CSLV). The 10-day online auction was the first of its kind surrounding any music festival, attracting more than 2,000 fans to eBay Giving Works to bid on once-in-a-lifetime Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) inspired experiences. Lucky winners will now live out their Las Vegas and festival wishes, making memories that will last a lifetime.

Insomniac brought more than 50 spectacular EDC Week auction items to life, partnering with more than one dozen local businesses including TAO Group, Maverick Helicopters, MGM Resorts International, Hakkasan Group, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, SLS Las Vegas, Life is Beautiful Festival, Blue Man Group, The LINQ, Interscope Records and many more.

Fans from all over the world bid on over-the-top experiences such as taking a helicopter ride to EDC Las Vegas with Pasquale Rotella and Holly Madison, making sushi with Krewella at Nobu, entry into every Insomniac festival for an entire year, a Blue Man Group ultimate fan package, a private trailer in the artist area at EDC Las Vegas, performing with Cirque du Soleil for a day, taking a selfie with Hardwell on stage at EDC Las Vegas, hanging out with Steve Angello at SLS Las Vegas and many more incredible items.

All of the proceeds raised by the online auction are being donated directly to the amazing non-profit organization Culture Shock Las Vegas, a group dedicated to providing a safe and fun after school environment for the youth of Las Vegas. Culture Shock seeks to steer youth away from substance abuse, violence and hatred through performance art and dance. With the money raised, Culture Shock will be able to offer even more kids and teens a brighter future through dance and the creation life-long friendships.

During EDC Week, Insomniac will take over the famed Las Vegas Strip June 16-22 with EDC inspired events, filling the dance floors of the city's hottest nightclub and day club venues. EDC Week will also bring the return of the dance music industry's premiere gathering, the EDMbiz Conference and Expo. From June 16-18, EDMbiz will bring together dance music's top managers, labels, agents, brand executives and more to the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for three days of insightful panels and networking.
