Inspiration Reports Corrections For Nickel Mineralization in Drill Holes LN05-19 and LN05-20

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 27, 2006) - Inspiration Mining Corporation (the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:ISM) is reporting a correction to the previously released results on drill holes LN05-19 and LN05-20 on its Langmuir Project, located in Langmuir Township south of Timmins, Ontario. The Langmuir Property consists of 69 unpatented contiguous mining claim units covering approximately 1090 hectares in the north-central portion of Langmuir Township, Porcupine Mining Division, District of Cochrane, Ontario. The property is approximately 25 km southeast of Timmins, Ontario, and hosts the past producing Langmuir No.1 Mine, and majority of the past producing Langmuir No. 2 Mine.

A routine assay audit conducted with a diamond drill hole management computer program located an error in the method of calculating the average grade of nickel for diamond drill holes LN05-19 and LN05-20. All previously reported weighed averages have been calculated and reported correctly.

The weighted average grade calculation consists of multiplying the sample interval by the assay and then the sum of the values is divided by the total of the sample intervals.

The sample intervals for the previously reported drill holes LN05-1 to LN05-18 was at a uniform and constant length of 1.0 metre. The calculation of multiplying the sample length (1.0 metre) by the assay value was omitted, as the product would be the same value of the assay value. Therefore, the method of calculating the weighted averaged nickel intervals were calculated by dividing the total length into the sum of all the nickel assays for the intervals.

The sample intervals were changed for drill holes LN05-19 to LN05-22. The reason for the change in sample intervals was to terminate the samples at geological contacts and to reflect sample of constant percentage of sulphide mineralization. The nickel bearing sulphide mineralization, with estimations ranging from 5% to 7% fine grained disseminatations up to 25% to 30% rounded blebs, is contained within serpentenized peridotitic komatiite ultramaftic extrusive flows with occasional spinifex texture. Also, this would assist in the location and controls of the higher-grade nickel mineralization and not being contaminated by lower-grade mineralization.

The formulas used for LN05-1 to LN05-18 were used to calculate the weighted average grade for drill holes LN05-19 to LN05-20. This error was located during a routine assay audit conducted with a diamond drill hole management computer program and in the preparation of the weighted average nickel grades for drill holes LN05-21 and LN05-22.

The following table indicates the corrected weighted averages for the same previously reported drill lengths.

The assaying technique used is the industry standard for base metal assaying, which uses nitric and hydrochloric acids that extracts nickel only from sulphide mineralization and not from nickel silicate minerals. The assaying of split core samples was conducted by Swastika Laboratories, and included the insertion of blanks and standards. The Qualified Person in charge of the Langmuir Project and the person who prepared the technical data in this release is Kian Jensen, B.Sc., P.Geo. (Ont).
