Inspirational Running Movie to Be Screened at 2009 Boston Marathon

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - April 14, 2009) - "Beyond the Epic Run," the inspiring true story of ultra runner, Serge Roetheli, and his wife Nicole, who sold all of their belongings to run more than 25,400 miles around the world, will be screened at Hynes Convention Center during the 2009 Boston Marathon Expo as part of the Runner's World Film and Seminar Series. The film's main character, Serge, will be present, as well as producer/directors, Thomas Sammon and Paul Rutherford, will introduce the film and participate in the post-screening Q & A's. According to Sammon, "Beyond the Epic Run" is inspiring for anyone trying to overcome a challenge. "Serge's run proves that nothing is impossible," he said. "Even after catching malaria, losing their sponsor, and getting hit by a car, Serge and Nicole continued on. Free public screenings of "Beyond the Epic Run" will take place at Hynes Convention Center, 900 Boylston Street, Room 200, in Boston, MA. Screening dates and times are as follows:

       Friday, April 17, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
       Saturday, April 18, 4:30-6:00 p.m.
       Sunday, April 19, 4:00-5:30 p.m.

"Beyond the Epic Run" is an inspiring feature-length documentary reality film about the epic adventure of Swiss ultra runner Serge Roetheli and his wife, Nicole Roetheli, who give up everything they own to run around the world. Serge runs as Nicole follows behind on a small motorcycle and films their entire journey. Their epic, five-year adventure takes them across six continents, through 37 countries and as they complete more than 25,400 miles.
