Instacart Launches One-Hour Grocery Service in Raleigh and Durham

One Month After Launching in Charlotte, Instacart Expands Into North Carolina's Second Largest Market

As of today, Raleigh and Durham residents can order from their favorite retailers like Whole Foods Market, Food Lion, Costco (no membership required), Petco, BJ's Wholesale and Harris Teeter, and have their groceries delivered straight to their doorsteps in as little as one hour.

Instacart deliveries will also be available for residents who live on the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and Duke University campuses.

How Instacart works: Customers go online to or open the Instacart mobile app on their iPhone or Android device, select their city/store, add items to a virtual cart, and then choose a delivery window (within one hour, within two hours, or up to seven days in advance) and check out.
