Instinet Canada is Newest Participant on Perimeter Financial BlockBook Marketplace

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 19, 2007) - Perimeter Financial Corp. announced today that Instinet Canada, a subsidiary of global agency broker Instinet, Inc., has become the newest BlockBook participant. As a result, Instinet's institutional clients are now able to access BlockBook's block trading marketplace for TSX-listed securities through Instinet's sales trading desk.

"We are pleased to welcome Instinet and its global client base to the BlockBook marketplace," said Ian Williams, President of Perimeter Markets Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perimeter Financial . "The continued globalization of our client base is a testament to the increasing liquidity and quality of executions experienced by BlockBook participants. We are excited to be able to extend this capability to the Instinet's clients."

"Instinet continually looks for opportunities for our clients to reap the benefits delivered by technologydriven alternative markets such as BlockBook," said Tal Cohen, Senior Vice President, Instinet Canada. "We see today's agreement as a win for institutions looking to take advantage of the new crop of offexchange liquidity sources that are rapidly emerging throughout the Canadian marketplace."

BlockBook is a regulated, electronic marketplace for block traders of Canadian equities (i.e. orders greater than 10,000 shares). BlockBook allows buyers and sellers to meet anonymously, without information leakage, using proprietary signaling techniques. BlockBook is open to all qualified institutional participants including investment dealers, pension funds, investment managers, mutual funds and hedge funds.
