Insurance Educational Association Names New Chair and Vice Chair

Industry Leaders Adlam and Castoria to Accelerate Growth Strategy

SANTA ANA, CA--(Marketwire - March 18, 2010) -  The Insurance Educational Association (IEA), a leading provider of professional education, today announced the appointment of a new Chair and Vice Chair to its Board of Directors. Industry innovator Judy Adlam, CPCU, was named Chair, while nationally recognized industry advocate and educator Louis H. Castoria was named Vice Chair. 

Incoming Chair Judy Adlam is President and CEO of LWP Claims Solutions, Inc., a leading Workers' Compensation Third Party Administrator in California. Ms. Adlam has nearly 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a particular focus on improving companies' workers' compensation outcomes. She is well known for both her focus on staff development and training and her track record for delivering programs that improve workers' compensation outcomes and lower costs.

Louis H. Castoria, IEA's new Vice Chair, is a partner with Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP, a full-service law firm with clients in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. He is Chair of the firm's Specialty Professional Risks team and Co-Chair of its Securities Industry team. Mr. Castoria has lectured throughout the country on insurance, tort reform and technology issues. He is also a contributor to leading industry publications. Mr. Castoria, now serving in an IEA leadership role, was the first outside counsel elected to the board. He has initiated strategic relationships between IEA and other educational and industry groups.

IEA focuses on workers' compensation, property and casualty insurance, risk management, disability management, and financial services, and is expanding its course offerings through innovative online courses and on-site instructor-led courses held at participating employers' premises.
