InsWeb Believes Patent Lawsuit Is Without Merit

SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - December 4, 2007) - InsWeb Corp. (NASDAQ: INSW) today announced that it has been informed that it and others have been named a defendant in a patent infringement suit filed by Autobytel in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Hussein Enan, InsWeb Chairman & CEO, commented, "InsWeb was surprised by the public news reports of the filing of this lawsuit. We were not previously contacted by Autobytel nor have we been formally served with the complaint. Accordingly, we are unable to comment on any specifics regarding the allegations.
