Intacct Execs Honored by Top Accounting Publication

Accounting Today Names Intacct Vice President of Channels to Top 100 Most Influential People List, and CEO Rob Reid to Future Influencers List

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - October 12, 2010) -  Intacct, the leader in cloud financial management and accounting applications, today announced that its vice president of Channels, Taylor Macdonald, has been named to the Accounting Today "Top 100 Most Influential People" list for 2010. This is the seventh time that Macdonald, a 20-year channel veteran who previously built successful channel programs for leading financial management and ERP providers Deltek and Sage, has made the list. This is also the fourth consecutive year that an Intacct executive has been recognized by Accounting Today in its round up of accounting's most noteworthy people.

According to Accounting Today, "The 'partner's partner,' Macdonald has long held channel marketing to a high standard. His latest role heading up the partner program at cloud-based vendor Intacct will put his skills and experience to the test as the company looks to further embrace the CPA community and key VARs." Intacct CEO Robert Reid was also acknowledged by Accounting Today as someone the magazine's editors are "keeping an eye on." Reid, a cloud computing pioneer, was named to the "2010 Future Influencers" list.

Macdonald and Reid join an impressive list of luminaries and influencers to the accounting profession including President Barack Obama; AICPA President and CEO, Barry Melancon; U.S. Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner; and Chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), Sir David Tweedie.

Since joining Intacct in July 2010, Macdonald has accelerated adoption of Intacct's award-winning cloud computing solutions by top VARs. Intacct has seen particular interest from companies that have traditionally sold on-premises software from Microsoft and Sage, with these firms noting that their customers are increasingly preferring cloud-computing based applications. Macdonald's ability to woo leading VARs is a key reason he was previously named a Top Channel Executive by VARBusiness and a Top 50 Channel Champion by CRN.

"It's an honor to have been recognized again by Accounting Today, easily the most influential editorial voice in the accounting industry," said Macdonald. "My inclusion on this year's list reflects the growing significance of cloud computing among CPA firms and VARs, as well as Intacct's market momentum. I look forward to furthering both causes in 2010 and beyond."
