Interactive Defense, LLC, Deploys First Online Public Safety Network in City of Dunwoody, Georgia

DUNWOODY, GA--(Marketwire - October 5, 2010) - Interactive Defense, LLC, a joint venture of F3 Technologies, Inc., (PINKSHEETS: FTCH) and NobleHeroes, Inc., announced that its online public-safety network is being deployed this week by a metro-Atlanta police department as part of a pioneering strategy to engage citizens in preventing and solving crimes.

The network, Interactive Defense System™, will help the Dunwoody police officers to stay in closer contact with local residents and businesses. The network will allow police to give the community immediate notification of missing children and criminal suspects who pose a threat. Interactive Defense will also allow Dunwoody's 37,500 residents to share crime tips more directly with officers and with each other, request officer assistance, and notify officers when their homes will be vacant due to moves or vacation.

The Interactive Defense System is a specialized version of F3's Interaction Community Systems networking solution for homeowners associations and other member groups. One IDS module, the Safety Center, is for both officers and residents. A second, HeroSpace, is for officers and other municipal employees.

In the Safety Center, police and residents can trade up-to-the-minute information on important safety issues. HeroSpace is a professional network for firefighters, police officers and other municipal employees that will help improve departmental efficiency, improve collaboration with residents and limit environmental impact by reducing the need for paper documents.

Adoption by Dunwoody Police is a milestone for Interactive Defense. The department is at the leading edge of online community policing. As an expert panelist at a meeting of the International Association of Chiefs of Police in Chicago in June, Dunwoody Police Chief William Grogan discussed his department's use of online social networks. Chief Grogan is the president of the local police chiefs' association in DeKalb County, Ga., which includes Dunwoody.

"This forward-thinking move by the Dunwoody Police Department gives us strong credibility as we continue our discussions with police departments and city governments throughout the nation," F3 Chief Operating Officer Paul Campbell said.

"In the information age, criminals are finding novel ways to commit their crimes," NobleHeroes Chief Executive Officer Jason Muenzer said. "Our system will be a great equalizer and will provide law-abiding citizens with a crime-fighting tool that really works."

The police department signaled its interest in Interactive Defense in mid-June. A definitive contract followed.

The department invited Dunwoody residents to join its Interactive Defense network in an e-mail Monday. Residents and municipal employees will also be able to access Interactive Defense through the department's existing website. The department has nearly 1,000 followers on the micro-blog and more than 700 fans on the Facebook social-networking site, both of which are integrated into the department's own website.

"Interactive Defense is a linchpin in our strategy of working hand-in-hand with citizens and businesses," Chief Grogan said.

The relationship with Dunwoody is also of special value because the city's reputation and its tradition of community involvement represent fertile ground for Interaction Community Systems. Dunwoody's per-capita income of $62,523 was the third-highest in Georgia in 2005, according to U.S. Census data. The city's 37,500 residents and 200 homeowners associations potentially represent more than a tripling in the number of people with access to Interaction. Three Dunwoody homeowners associations have been using IDS/ICS in a pilot program since mid-July.

Interactive Defense, LLC, donates a portion of its revenue to the NobleHeroes Foundation, a nonprofit organization that assists public-safety employees who are injured or disabled in the line of duty.
