Interana to Exhibit Full-Stack Event-Based Analytics Solution at Strata + Hadoop World 2014

Interana Co-Founder and Product Visionary Lior Abraham and Head of Product Development Joseph Adler Will Also Present Insights on Fast Analytics and Data Scientists Writing Code

MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 14, 2014) -   Interana, the expert in event data analytics, today announced that the company will participate in Strata Conference + Hadoop World 2014, taking place October 15 -17, 2014, at the Javits Center in New York, N.Y. At booth #120, Interana will demo its newly launched, fast and scalable event-based analytics solution, which allows users to answer critical business questions about how customers behave and products are used. Interana enables users to analyze and explore the key business metrics that matter most in a data-driven world -- such as growth, retention, conversion and engagement -- in seconds, rather than the hours or days it often takes with existing solutions. Interana allows its customers to discover and investigate these key insights easily through its visual and interactive interface, which makes data analysis a natural extension of everyone's workflow.

Interana co-founder and product visionary Lior Abraham and head of product development Joseph Adler will speak at the conference in two different tracks, "Data Science" and "Hadoop and Beyond," respectively.

Lior Abraham will leverage his experience inventing SCUBA, the most popular internal analytics tool at Facebook, used actively by more than half the company monthly. His talk will outline his top 10 lessons learned and resulting best practices to extract the most value out of data. The discussion will include real-world examples from the various systems he has built and the resulting dramatic changes to the way people interact with data.

Joseph Adler will participate on one of two teams of the world's best data scientists in what promises to be a lively debate over whether a person can be a data scientist if he or she cannot write code. Many popular tools for analyzing data require programming (R, Hadoop, Pandas, Spark, etc.), and many data scientists are adept at writing code. However, data scientists are increasingly turning to graphical tools (such as Excel or Tableau) to explore data. The discussion will include a look at the tools that may make it possible in the future, if not already today.
