Intermap Announces New Digital Mapping Contract

DENVER, COLORADO--(CCNMatthews - April 10, 2006) - Intermap Technologies Corporation (TSX:IMP) announced today that its subsidiary, Intermap Federal Services Inc, has received a subcontract to perform an international radar mapping program. The contract value to Intermap is approximately US$650,000 with the acquisition and delivery of radar imagery and elevation products to be completed in the second quarter.

Intermap will be providing a digital surface model, a digital terrain model and orthorectified radar imagery using its proprietary X- and P-band interferometric radar technology. The X-band system provides the surface model and orthorectified imagery, while the vegetation penetration qualities of the P-band can supply the terrain data and orthorectified imagery in areas containing dense vegetation. Having performed large mapping projects in Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Indonesia, and the Philippines over the past five years, Intermap has a successful history of radar mapping experience internationally and can produce digital mapping products for areas which cannot be mapped using traditional aerial photography and satellite imagery technologies.

"We are pleased with this opportunity to utilize our upgraded X-band and P-band technology to map some very remote areas of the world," commented Michael Bullock, Intermap's vice president of sales. "Our technology allows us to rapidly map day or night and in regions with persistent cloud cover, while our P-band sensor has the ability to penetrate densely vegetated areas creating valuable map data for our customers."
