Intermap Closes NEXTMap USA National Subscriber Offering

DENVER, COLORADO--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 29, 2005) -

Planned Purchases Surpass US$28 Million

Intermap Technologies Corp. (TSX:IMP) announced today that it will close its discounted offering to early national buyers of NEXTMap USA. The focus of Intermap's sales and marketing program will shift to reselling data already in its library and to supporting the channel partners offering new products based on NEXTMap USA data.

Intermap had previously launched a discounted pricing offer for early-buyers of the entire national NEXTMap USA dataset, which is now more than 15 percent completed. The Company previously announced that it had received initial purchase orders from three different customers under the early-buyer offering, totaling US$2 million. These customers include the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). These national buyers plan to purchase approximately US$28 million of data collectively, subject to the availability of funding in their annual budgets.

"This is an important milestone for the NEXTMap USA program," commented Brian Bullock, Intermap's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We have achieved our goals for national subscription sales, and the momentum from these sales adds to our ability to complete the NEXTMap USA program earlier than previously planned. NEXTMap data will bring tremendous benefits to each of these customers as they use the data to enhance the safety and security programs of the nation and to manage the country's critical resources."

Intermap's product offerings under the NEXTMap USA program include terrain elevation data products as well as orthorectified radar imagery. Datasets for many areas of the United States are now available for purchase through Intermap's online data store. New data is being added monthly, and Intermap plans to complete the entire project in the next three to five years. In addition to its standard data products, Intermap provides orthorectified color imagery products upon request.

This month, Intermap announced that it had completed the remapping of the entire state of California. Intermap recently launched a broad sales and marketing campaign in California and has already delivered data to a number of buyers including county governments, municipalities and commercial buyers. The Company expects the buying pattern for NEXTMap USA to follow the model established by its NEXTMap Britain program with lead buyers purchasing data for engineering, planning and environmental management. Sales of NEXTMap Britain have now exceeded the US$12 million mark and include over 1,000 new data licenses to date.
