Intermec Leverages ANADIGICS' HELP3™ Power Amplifiers for WAN 3.75G Radio in New CN50 Rugged Mobile Computer

WARREN, NJ--(Marketwire - August 25, 2009) - ANADIGICS, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANAD) today announced that the Company's HELP3™ power amplifier (PA) modules are being used by Intermec Technologies Corporation for the Wireless Wide-Area Network (WAN) Flexible Network™ Radio in its new CN50 mobile computer. The Intermec CN50 is the industry's most advanced rugged mobile computer, which includes 3.75G wireless wide-area network capability that supports both voice and high-speed data exchange.

The CN50 uses ANADIGICS' HELP3™ (3rd Generation High Efficiency at Low Power) power amplifiers to enable connectivity on high-speed wireless broadband networks utilizing WCDMA/HSPA or CDMA/EVDO technology. The ANADIGICS power amplifiers support operation in the Cellular, PCS, IMT, AWS and KPCS bands. ANADIGICS' PA modules are differentiated by their high linearity and power efficiency, which are necessary for a high performance broadband mobile experience for consumers. ANADIGICS' proprietary HELP3™ technology reduces average current consumption by as much as 75 percent, compared to a conventional PA, enabling longer battery life.

The CN50 is designed specifically for the "hold and carry" activities of postal, field service, transportation, and commercial delivery workers. The lightweight, multi-function CN50 eliminates the need to manage multiple devices such as cell phones, digital cameras and document scanners, thereby reducing operational costs while improving service quality, accuracy, responsiveness and worker productivity. The WAN Flexible Network™ Radio allows enterprises to standardize on a single hardware platform that can be configured for either CDMA/EVDO or WCDMA/HSPA wireless networks, providing the flexibility to choose the network that provides the best geographic coverage and cost.

"ANADIGICS' reliable, high-performance, power amplifiers enable our customers to develop innovative wireless platforms to utilize the power of 3G mobile broadband data connectivity," says Bruce Webber, Director of Marketing for ANADIGICS. "Our PA portfolio includes products that meet requirements for all major 3G and 4G wireless standards in use today, including CDMA/EVDO, WCDMA/HSPA, HSPA+, LTE, TD-SCDMA and mobile WiMAX, which enables companies like Intermec to create products for markets worldwide. In addition, ANADIGICS products are designed to meet demanding reliability standards required for rugged mobile devices like the CN50."
