International CES Hosts Technology's Season Premiere at CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of CES; Second Annual Press Event to Feature 80 Exhibitors at Innovations Plus at the Sands

ARLINGTON, Va.--(CCNMatthews - Jul 11, 2005) -

Hot product debuts and cool new technologies from 80 leading consumer technology companies will be on display at the second annual CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of CES on January 3, 2006. The International CES, the world's largest annual technology tradeshow, runs January 5-8, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

CES Unveiled gives media and analysts a chance to preview the newest products and network with the companies bringing them to market in one convenient location two days before the show officially opens. Honorees from the prestigious International CES Innovations Design and Engineering showcase also will be on display at the event.

"Building on the phenomenal success of last year's event, we've added capacity for 20 more exhibitors at the 2006 CES Unveiled and created an even better venue to catch a sneak peak of the products and services that will make headlines at the 2006 International CES," said Karen Chupka, vice president of conferences and events at the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the producer of CES. "It is technology's season premiere and the best reason to get to Vegas early."

In 2006, CES Unveiled will move to Innovations Plus at the Sands, a new CES destination featuring Innovations Design and Engineering showcase; emerging technology exhibitors; vertical market TechZones like MP3 and Portable Power; the Studio@Home showcase and international exhibitor delegations from China, Singapore and Taiwan. Innovations Plus at the Sands also will house the Industry Insider series and co-located conference events such as the Flash Forward digital imaging showcase and Pulvermedia's Consumer VoIP Summit.

CES Unveiled will take place on January 3, 2006, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Venetian Bellini Ballroom. Media and analysts can beat the Wednesday lines and pick up their badge and registration materials immediately prior to the event at special registration kiosks at the Sands. Only credentialed media and analysts will be allowed into the event.

Media and analysts may register for CES Unveiled when registering for CES at www.CESweb.org/press. Beyond registration, attendees can make their hotel and travel arrangements through www.CESweb.org. International guests can obtain help in applying for travel visas via the website as well.

Note to Journalists: Detailed press conference information will be available later this year. Journalists are encouraged to arrive in Las Vegas by Tuesday, January 3, 2006, to take advantage of all the CES press conferences and events.
