MUNICH, GERMANY--(Marketwire - March 3, 2011) - From 6 to 8 April 2011 the Akademie des Deutschen Buchhandels (Academy of the German Book Trade) -- in collaboration with the SIPA (Specialized Information Publishers Association) and VNR Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft AG (publishing house) -- is staging an international conference on "Business-building secrets for specialized information publishers."

There will be lectures and discussions from and with experts from the USA and Europe on new technologies and viable (online) business models in the specialized information market. The focus will be on strategic aspects and international trends in the fields of marketing and distribution. Themes will include cloud computing, SEO (search-engine optimization) and the development of iPad and iPhone apps for providers of specialized information. The programme will also feature a roundup of best practices from various countries.
