International Datacasting Corporation Awarded Encryption Patent

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 13, 2007) - International Datacasting Corporation (TSX:IDC) announced today that the company has been awarded a Canadian patent related to the encryption and decryption of digital data streams.

The security of data and the ability to reliably control subscriber access are paramount in many of our applications - especially for financial information, digital cinema and IPTV. The technology covered by this patent strengthens our intellectual property portfolio and demonstrates that our research and development investment continues to help distinguish IDC by technology leadership in our industry."

The Patent is entitled "Encryption Synchronisation for Use in Data Streams" and has been assigned patent number CA 2318026.
