International Food Safety Community to Convene at the 17th Annual Food Safety Summit Conference and Expo


BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwired - Apr 13, 2015) - Thousands of food safety professionals are expected to convene in Baltimore, MD for the 17th Annual Food Safety Summit, taking place April 28-30 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The Summit will provide timely and relevant educational sessions, influential networking receptions as well as exclusive insights from Chinese representatives and the European Commission who will be discussing food fraud.

Integrating the Nation's Food Safety System Forum - The Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) will present a full day forum where dozens of leaders will discuss the many efforts and projects that are in place for integrating the nation's food safety resources.

FSMA Sessions - How the industry and regulatory agencies will implement the new rules and mandates of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) will be the focus of five sessions at the Summit.

Hot Topics - The closing session will offer four dynamic speakers who will address the most pressing issues and topics facing the industry, such as future of food safety leadership, local sourcing and the aftermath of the PCA verdict.

FSS Gives Back - The Summit has partnered with Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief organization, to aid in the fight to end hunger.
